Maple Simple Syrup⅜ oz11 ml

Maple simple syrup is pure maple syrup thinned with water: 1 cup maple to ½ cup hot water.

our 2:1 maple simple syrup is about two-thirds maple, so 1/4 oz straight maple becomes 3/8 oz (about 2 1/4 tsp) of ours

As printed: 1/4 oz pure Grade B (now 'Grade A Dark, Robust') maple syrup, undiluted

Where it comes from

Don Lee created it at PDT around 2007 by fat-washing bourbon with Benton's smoked Tennessee bacon and sweetening it with maple. It brought fat-washing into mainstream cocktail bars and became PDT's best-known drink.
